Thank you Vox, for this story of almost a hundred bright spots in 2016. It’s the remedy I need after an awful lot of downbeat reports on Obama’s final year end presser.
These include loads of wins for ocean and wilderness conservation (an issue close to my heart — check out the new reserve off of Antarctica!). And apparently U.S. homelessness has declined by 35 percent over the past decade. As an almost-San Franciscan, this stuns me, but model cities like Boston may have transferable lessons. AND, not only China is getting very serious about renewable energy, but Costa Rica thinks it can run for a whole year without fossil fuels.
In all of that, and 95 other fun facts — find joy!
