Because I’m not yet ready to let the high of seeing so many wonderful women march subside, please check out PBS NewsHour’s piece about the Women’s March Antarctica (alternate title: Penguins for Peace).
Since organizer Linda Zunes said on Twitter that her photos can be used by the media, I’m borrowing them here — but I also want to respect her wish to highlight that their march was not political but “pro peace, pro-environment.” Good for her, and her expedition companions, ages 25 to 87. The more we try to listen to each other and look past the traps of party lines, the more we can accomplish.
