Star Trek icon George Takei knows what it’s like to have your constitutional rights and protections denied. Along with 120,000 other Japanese-Americans, he was imprisoned during World War II.
Because of that experience, Takei has been outspoken in his defense of Muslims in America. His Care2 petition declaring support and opposition to fear-driven policies is now close to goal — he just needs another 2,000 Americans to stand up for their neighbors.
