POTUS and FLOTUS delivered their final Christmas address this week. I don’t want to spoil it, except perhaps to mention that the Obamas remind us that above all else, Christmas is about “boundless love, compassion, and hope.”
I have so much hope for America when I remember that for eight magical years, the Obama administration happened. My friends and I got to grow into proper adults in an era when *this* was the face America presented to the world. Sure, there were disappointments, and we didn’t all agree with the politics of it all. But who could deny that this was a time of incredible change and progress for America. And whatever happens next, whatever struggles we confront, nothing can ever take this away from us.
HUGE PS: I also hope to never forget the awesomeness that was Jingle Barack.
